IIT Guwahati is at 7 in the engineering list of NIRF. The institute, at present, has a strength of 1700 students and 410 faculty members. IIT Guwahati offers UG, PG, and PhD degrees in 57 courses. The courses taught are in the fields of Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities. IIT Guwahati campus is considered the most beautiful campus in India. It has the Brahmaputra on one side and hills and vast open spaces on the other. The campus houses 11 departments, 5 academic centres, 5 extramural centres, and 13 hostels. Also, IIT Guwahati has 135 MoUs across 31 countries. These partnerships have facilitated student and faculty exchange programs, student internships, joint conferences, and workshops for joint research projects.
