George Group of Colleges, Kolkata was founded in 2001 as an affiliated institution of the MAKUAT, Kolkata, University of Burdwan, WBUTTEPA and University of Calcutta. The college is a unit of The George Telegraph Group. It offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses in the disciplines of Business Administration, Multimedia, Media Science, Animation and Graphic Design, Hospital Management and many more. Admission is done on the basis of a qualifying examination.The college has a training and placement cell that conducts training sessions involving Group Discussion, Mock Interviews, Industry Visits and Summer Internships. Besides summer training in different industries, it also organizes webinars or online seminars and arranges for winter internships for students in different departments. To develop technical skills, BCA students are provided with industry-relevant training and workshops to improve aptitude and logical reasoning will also be routinely organized at the institute.
