Guntur Engineering College (GEC), is a prestigious college established in the year 2008 with the objective of imparting sound technical education to aspiring candidates. It is approved by the AICTE and owes its affiliation to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. The college offers B.Tech at the UG level and M.Tech, MBA at the PG level. Apart from these, the college even offers 3-year diploma courses in engineering for matriculation students.The college library consists of a wide range of books, journals, National & Inter National Journals, online Journals which can be used from any desktop or Laptop within the campus.
The campus has more than different laboratories used for various discipline courses. Apart from these, advanced laboratories are there as well, like the applied robot control laboratory and the dassault 3D experience laboratory. Transport is one of the most convenient to and from Guntur Engineering College. The nearest major railway station is 14km from the college. The nearest bus stand is at a distance of 15km. College buses cover all important points in Guntur, Vijayawada, Mangalagiri, Tenali, Narasaraopet, and Chilakaluripet. The college houses separate hostels on campus for both male and female students which can accommodate students with all the facilities for study as well as recreation. The rooms are all very clean and have proper ventilation. The college has demarcated a large area of land for outdoor games, mainly: cricket, volleyball, ball badminton, throw ball, and Tennikoit. There is also a multigym and indoor games room games like table tennis, carrom, chess, etc., to hone student’s skills and encourage physical fitness as well.
