Dr. Samuel George Institute of Engineering and Technology (SGIT) was established in the year 1997 at Markapur, Prakasam Dist, Andhra Pradesh is the long-awaited dream for Dr. Samuel George – founder of the college who is an educationalist, humanist, and visionary apart from being an academician who taught in various American Universities. His desire to impart quality technical education combined together with his affection for his native place has resulted in the establishment of this institute.
