The Institute of Science was established in 1956 to propagate scientific attitudes amongst the younger generation of our society by Shri. Neelkanth Chintaman Joshi (M.Sc., M.A.) is a well-known educationist, who has spent his entire career in the field of education. He is closely associated with Pune University for last more than four decades as Dean of the Science faculty, a member of the senate, and a member of the academic council for a long time. He has been sharing his knowledge and administrative skills by giving consultation in the field of education to several institutes and NGOs that have benefited from his guidance.
